IImari Tapiovaara “Tale” stool

The “Tale” stool was created by Tapiovaara in 1953. They are natural color, stained or painted black. The plywood seat uses various veneers such as teak and walnut.
Tapiovaara’s design was very practical: he designed furniture for the Finnish people’s homes. Tapiovaara is known, for example, to transform a Finnish peasant chair into a modern surface chair. The Mademoiselle chair, for example, is also very popular today. Many pieces of furniture from Tapiovaara were transparent and light. They fit into a small space. People didn’t need to have a big living room.
