Tripod vase, scarified decoration made in reserve with paraffin by Roger Capron

Born in Vincennes, Roger Capron is a key figure in the history of ceramics. His unique work is recognized and rewarded throughout the world. Always in a constant search for a work similar to sculpture, he is interested in new materials, in particular large fire sandstone, which brings him closer to Derval for a new collaboration in 1968, as well as in smoked clay around 1990 in order to create fired pieces with the help of his wife Jacotte.
