Roland Brice (1911-1989) is a French ceramist who after studying at the Ecole des Beaux Arts de Paris in ceramics and sculpture, began a career as an advertising designer for the Renault group. In 1936, he began to follow the art lessons of Fernand Leger at the Academy of Modern Art in Montrouge. He moved to Biot in 1949 where he created his ceramics workshop and worked with Fernand Léger. His work is marked by the creation of colored pieces, with a large volume, thus contributing to the innovation of wall art.
