Sandra H.

Sandra Hauffscheteder is a french living artist working in Cannes. Coming from multidisciplinary background in fashion, interior design and psychology, Sandra H. only lives her artistic awakening at the edge of her 40 years through painting. She paints her first series of biomorphic drawings entitled Mykonos coming back from a trip in Greece. The impressions that these landscapes left on her lead the artist to experiment with pigments of ultramarine blue, yellow ochre and Sienna red. Her creative imagination therefore finds its source through travels. Her plastic work on the other hand, is always guided by instincts. The drawing, that is always traced by hand, creates harmonious shapes under the signs of master-craft and freedom. Psychoanalysis also influences the artist’s plastic language through recurrent symbols like the dissociated face, the sun, the sea and the eye. Sandra H.’s work is a continuous research of the perfect balance between physical and psychic.
